一 |     《It Ends》将于 8 月 21 日星期五在部分影院上映，并于 8 月 28 日开启大规模公映。还记得传声头像（Talking Heads）的那首《Road to Nowhere》吗？歌词是这样开始的：“好吧，我们知道我们要去哪里 / 但我们不知道我们曾身处何方”以及“我们不是小孩子了 / 我们知道自己想要什么 / 未来是确定的 / 给我们时间去解决它”……大卫·拜恩（David Byrne）的这些词句似乎深深植根于《It Ends》制作团队的脑海中。

The story follows four brothers, Franky, Bonny, Bobby and Saji, living in the fishing village of Kumbalangi. It explored their relationships that are strained by jealousy, misunderstandings, and past grievances. The film was a commercial success and is considered to be one of the best Malayalam films of the decade. Faasil was praised heavily for his character, and he also developed a cult following. You can watch it on Amazon Prime Video.     Super Deluxe          Super Deluxe (2019) is directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, featuring an ensemble cast of Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Mysskin, and Ramya Krishnan. The film weaves together multiple interconnected stories set in Chennai, exploring dark humour, fate, and the unpredictability of life. In the film, Fahadh plays Mugil, an aspiring actor, who is devastated after discovering his wife's affair but helps her hide her ex-boyfriend's dead body. You can watch it on Netflix.     Joji          Dileesh Pothan's Joji is a contemporary adaptation of William Shakespeare's Macbeth, set against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. The crime drama stars Fahadh Faasil as Joji, the youngest son of a wealthy family living on a rubber plantation in Kerala. Joji is financially dependent on his father, who is physically abusive towards him. After his father is paralysed following an accident, Joji finds the perfect opportunity to spread his wings. However, when his father is nursed back to health, Joji decides to do the unimaginable. As the story unfolds, Joji's descent into moral ambiguity and the consequences of his choices are explored, reflecting the themes of power and guilt central to Macbeth. The film also stars Baburaj, Shammi Thilakan, Basil Joseph and Unnimaya Prasad, among others. You can watch it on Amazon Prime Video.     Bangalore Days          Bangalore Days is a coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Anjali Menon. It stars Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya Nazim, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Isha Talwar, among others. The narrative follows three cousins from Kerala who move to Bangalore to pursue their dreams. Fahadh portrays Das, a reserved and introspective man who works as a software engineer in Bangalore. He is married to Kunju (Nazriya Nazim), and their relationship forms a significant subplot in the film. You can watch it on Amazon Prime Video.     Aavesham          Three men from Kerala, Aju Bibi and Shanthan, enrol at an engineering college in Bengaluru but are bullied badly by a gang of seniors. That's when they turn to local gangster Ranga, played by Fahadh Faasil, for help, but the latter gets emotionally attached to them, leading to a series of chaotic events. As the three boys dive deeper into Ranga’s world, events spiral beyond their control. Their academic lives are affected, and it takes a toll on their personal relationships as well. Faasil portrayed the eccentric gangster and brought unmatched energy to his performance. His swagger, unpredictable mood swings, and bursts of humour elevated the film. Aavesham is directed by Jithu Madhavan and also stars Hipzster, Mithun Jai Sankar, Roshan Shanavas, Sajin Gopu and Midhutty. Watch the film on JioHotstar.     C U Soon          C U Soon (2022), directed by Mahesh Narayanan, is India's first Screenlife film. It was shot on an iPhone and was received well by the audience upon its release. The film stars Fahadh Faasil, Roshan Mathew, and Darshana Rajendran. It unfolds through video calls, texts, emails, and CCTV footage, creating a tense atmosphere. Mathew plays Jimmy, a young man in Dubai who meets a woman named Anu online. Their romance takes a dark turn when Anu suddenly disappears after sending a disturbing video message. Faasil plays Kevin, Jimmy's cousin, a cybersecurity expert who plays a key role in uncovering the truth. With a performance confined to screens, the actor managed to project authority and intensity. Watch the film on Amazon Prime Video.     North 24 Kaatham          Fahad's Faasil's characters are never just ordinary people; they mirror human complexities. Just like his previous films, North 24 Kaatham shows him in a completely different light. He plays Harikrishnan, a geeky software architect who struggles with obsessive–compulsive disorder and self-righteousness. During a trip to Thiruvananthapuram, an unexpected hartal forces Hari to travel with two strangers, a social worker and a retired schoolteacher. What begins as an inconvenience slowly becomes a life-changing journey for Hari, as the people he meets challenge his rigid worldview. Watch it on JioHotstar.     22 Female Kottayam          Aashiq Abu's 22 Female Kottayam features Fahadh Faasil in one of his most complex and unsettling roles. The actor plays Cyril, a travel agency worker whose charm hides deep manipulation. The narrative follows Tessa, a young nursing student in Bengaluru who plans to travel to Canada for her career. She meets Cyril and is drawn to his confidence and warmth. But her world comes crashing down when she becomes a victim of sexual assault and later discovers that Cyril was complicit in it. Fahadh delivers a chilling performance as Cyril and embodies the cruelty of a man who represents betrayal in its most personal form. The film also stars Rima Kallingal, Pratap K Pothen and Resmi Sateesh, among others.     Malik          Malik, an intense political crime drama that follows Sulaiman Malik (Fahadh Faasil), his political ambitions and how he rises to power through the criminal underworld. The film begins with his arrest just before he plans to leave for Hajj, and through flashbacks, delves into his transformation into a powerful leader in the coastal village of Ramadapally. His portrayal of Sulaiman is considered one of his career bests. The Mahesh Narayanan directorial also stars Nimisha Sajayan, Vinay Forrt, Joju George and Dileesh Pothan among others.     Trance          Trance follows Viju Prasad (Fahadh), a motivational speaker from Kanyakumari, who lives with his mentally unstable younger brother, Kunjan. However, after Kunjan's suicide, Viju relocates to Mumbai, where he is recruited by a corporate duo, Solomon Davis and Issac Thomas, to pose as a Christian pastor performing fake miracles. Under the alias Pastor Joshua Carlton, Viju's persona becomes a global sensation. However, at the height of his fame, he is invited for a TV interview where he is coerced into performing a miracle. But this leads to unforeseen consequences that change the course of his life. Trance stars an ensemble cast including Fahadh Faasil, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Dileesh Pothan, Nazriya Nazim, Chemban Vinod Jose, Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Vinayakan and Arjun Ashokan. 三 | Tyler 已经作为社会人在现实世界打拼，但他似乎对自己目前的生活轨迹并不感到快乐或满足。James 对一切都做了深入思考，甚至找好了工作——还拍了一张穿着“第一次领圣体”般的正式工装的自拍来证明——但他看起来也并不开心。Day 住在家里，而 Fisher……他只是随波逐流吗？如果他真的有下一步计划，那我肯定是漏掉了。在这背景下，这些 Z 世代的年轻人只是在“闲逛”——是的，这是一部闲逛式电影——这正是角色和电影本身魅力的核心。Ullom 曾表示，他在创作《It Ends》时受到了理查德·林克莱特《懒虫》（Slacker）的部分启发，这一点显而易见，无论这群人是在争论“一个拿枪的人和一个人带着 50 只老鹰谁会赢”，还是在应对连续数周共同生活在车内的单调乏味。（还必须指出的是，Ullom 在他的母校佛罗里达州立大学的一个小型 Volume LED 虚拟摄影棚内完成了大部分拍摄，这简直令人印象深刻。）虽然影片的意图从未明确表达，但其传递的信息却令人难以释怀。这四个人正试图在生活中寻找出路，随着每个人以不同的方式对处境做出反应，他们的命运似乎越来越被锁定。如果不是为了不断向前推进，现实世界的生活又是什么呢？做得更好、赚得更多、得到更多、到达“那里”。当你驾车离去时，那些抓挠你的人？无视他们，他们挡路了，他们是竞争对手。

四 | 听着，现在的就业市场就是这么残酷，规矩不是我定的——我只是遵守而已。这简直是一场恐怖秀。
